WHD 2026 Supporters

Steadfast in our commitment and support for HCV elimination by 2030.

At AbbVie, we’re supporting people with HCV by identifying and successfully linking them to appropriate care – one at a time.

We are passionate and committed to finding and treating populations considered among the “missing millions” to achieve the WHO’s target of HCV elimination by 2030.

For decades, Gilead has pioneered the way forward to improve the lives of people living with liver disease around the world. The company has helped to transform hepatitis C from a chronic condition into one that can be cured for millions of people. For individuals living with hepatitis B or D, Gilead’s focus on advancing medicines drives hope that today’s research will turn into tomorrow’s cures. The commitment of Gilead doesn’t stop there. Through ground-breaking science and collaborative partnerships, the company strives to create healthier futures for everyone living with liver disease. Gilead remains devoted to a future without liver disease.

At GSK, our purpose is to unite science, technology and talent to get ahead of disease together. We have been at the forefront of the fight against viruses like hepatitis B for more than four decades – from pioneering vaccines against hepatitis A and B, to the discovery of world-first antiviral medicines that have transformed patient care. This World Hepatitis Day we are proud to stand alongside those living with Chronic Hepatitis B and continue advancing our scientific innovations to improve the lives of those living with liver diseases throughout the world. Hepatitis is now the world’s second deadliest virus, after COVID-19, and more than 300 million people live with it but don’t realise. For World Hepatitis Day 2026, WHA, our partners, allies, and our 450 members in more than 125 countries are calling for action to end this entirely preventable disease.

We have the tools we need to eliminate hepatitis by 2030 – but progress is too slow. Resources are not being mobilised; stigma and discrimination are not being addressed; and despite commitments made by governments and institutions, millions are being left behind. World Hepatitis Day 2026 will provide a platform for this message and make sure it is heard by those with the power to make real change happen. Join us and demonstrate your organisation’s commitment to being part of this change!

We only have a small window to act to ensure we meet the 2030 elimination goals, it’s time for action!
